What is COVID-19?

COVID-19, caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, is a complex respiratory illness that can affect multiple organ systems and have long-lasting repercussions on your physical, cognitive and mental health. Beyond its initial respiratory symptoms, COVID-19 has been associated with a range of complications, including cardiovascular issues, neurological symptoms and behavioral health conditions. Patients recovering from COVID-19 may face a multitude of challenges as they navigate the aftermath of the disease.

While physicians and patients alike continue to learn about the far-reaching effects of COVID-19, Inspira Health has developed the COVID-19 Recovery Program to address the diverse needs of individuals experiencing persistent symptoms. Our program connects patients with a network of specialists who provide comprehensive, high-quality care informed by the latest advancements in COVID-19 research and understanding of the disease. Whether you are grappling with physical limitations, cognitive impairment or mental health concerns, our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to supporting you on your journey to recovery.

How is COVID-19 Diagnosed?

Diagnosing COVID-19 may involve clinical evaluation, laboratory testing and imaging studies. Rapid antigen tests may also be used for quick screening purposes and are available for at-home use. In some cases, imaging studies such as chest X-rays or CT scans may be performed to evaluate the extent of lung involvement.
