The General Surgery Residency at Inspira Medical Center Vineland in New Jersey builds on medical school graduate education to help clinicians develop the skills they need to become successful general surgeons. Residents who complete an accredited general surgery residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic or other specialized positions, along with board certification in surgery.
About the Vineland General Surgery Residency
Inspira’s General Surgery Residency provides residents with learning opportunities that integrate and incorporate various patient care experiences and advanced practice settings across South Jersey. With comprehensive curricula and dedicated faculty, our residency programs focus on industry-leading research, cutting-edge treatment methods and safe, high-quality patient care.
The General Surgery Residency is designed to provide consistent, graduated autonomy to its residents, both in and out of the operating room. Upon graduation, residents have consistently fulfilled the operative requirements for the American Board of Surgery and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in all index case areas.
Affiliated with Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Inspira’s General Surgery Residency rotates residents through Inspira medical center locations in Elmer, Mullica Hill and Vineland, as well as several other local hospitals, to augment their surgical training subspecialty areas, including transplant and pediatric surgery.
