Carla Dugas, DO
Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director
Carla Dugas attended medical school at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing her Emergency Medicine residency at Kent Hospital in Warwick Rhode Island. After graduating in 2011, Dr Dugas has been a key member of South jersey Healthcare Emergency Physicians Services staffing the emergency departments in Vineland, Elmer and Bridgeton. She has served on their board of directors since 2018. Dr Dugas has been a faculty member for the emergency medicine residency in Vineland since it inception in 2013. In 2016 she played a pivotal role in the design and building of the simulation program and lab at the Vineland campus. She as been the Medical director of the simulation center since that time.
With a wealth of experience oil both clinical practice and medical education Dr Dugas is deeply committed to advancing the field of Emergency Medicine.
Muhammad Durrani, DO
Emergency Medicine Residency Associate Program Director
Muhammad Durrani attended medical school at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing his Emergency Medicine residency at Inspira Medical Center Vineland. After graduation, he stayed on as a core faculty member for the Emergency Medicine residency program where he served as assistant research director as well as the assistant clerkship director before accepting the position of Associate Residency Program Director.
Muhammad is passionate about medical education. He has completed the Academic Life in Emergency Medicine (ALiEM) Medical Education fellowship, lectures nationally on various topic in emergency medicine, is actively involved in free open access medicine, and consistently publishes research on various emergency medicine topics. Muhammad is committed to promoting a supportive and collaborative culture that encourages residents to excel while instilling values of compassion and scholarship.
Jerry Milas, DO
Emergency Medicine Residency Assistant Program Director
Dr. Milas started his career with Inspira Health in 2008 after graduating medical school from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completing a combined residency in Emergency and Internal Medicine from Midwestern University. Working as an emergency medicine physician for South Jersey Health System Emergency Physician Services, he was a member of the board of directors for 12 years. He also served as vice chair of emergency medicine and medical director of the Inspira Elmer Emergency Department during that time. He helped found the Emergency Medicine Residency at Inspira Medical Center Vineland and has served as assistant program director since its inception.
When he is not working or helping teach future generations of emergency medicine physicians, Dr. Milas enjoys spending time with his four children and his dogs, home projects and renovations, antique cars, traveling, restaurants, and Philly sports.
Brenda Mulford
Emergency Medicine Residency Program Manager
Brenda Mulford started her career with Inspira Health in 2001 as an Administrative Secretary in Dialysis. In 2012 she transferred into her current Program Manager role for the Inspira Health Vineland Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Brenda plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operation of the program. She works closely with the Program Director and residents to ensure the program meets ACGME accreditation standards.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, camping, and outdoor activities.
