Read MoreSalem, NJ (Sept. 28, 2023) – Inspira Medical Group recently acquired its first pediatrics practice, which will now be called Inspira Medical Group Pediatrics Salem. The practice was acquired during the Salem Medical Center transition and is now accepting new patients.
The practice is located at 4 Bypass Road in Salem and features two board certified pediatricians, Barry Berman, M.D., M.S., F.A.A.P. and Paul Kouyoumdji, M.D. Dr. Kouyoumdji also has privileges at Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill.
“We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Berman and Dr. Kouyoumdji have joined Inspira Medical Group, our first pediatrics practice,” said Scott Wagner MD, MBA, FACEP, president of Inspira Medical Group. “This milestone marks an exciting moment for us, as it reinforces our commitment to providing the highest level of care for the children in the communities we serve. With the addition of Dr. Berman and Dr. Kouyoumdji, we are confident that our pediatric services will reach new heights and positively impact the health and well-being of our young patients. We are excited about the future of this practice and look forward to serving our patients with even greater expertise and compassion.
Dr. Berman received his medical degree from Noreste University School of Medicine in Mexico and completed his residency in pediatrics at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center of Staten Island in New York. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
He believes in patient-centered care, forming personalized, long-term relationships with his patients and their loved ones. Dr. Berman brings more than 30 years of experience in pediatrics to Inspira Medical Group.
When he is not working, Dr. Berman enjoys spending time with his family, playing keyboards and singing in a classic rock and blues band, and model rocketry.
Dr. Kouyoumdji received his medical degree from Saint Joseph University of Beirut in Lebanon, where he completed a residency in pediatrics. He also completed a pediatric residency at Alfred I. duPont Hospital in Wilmington and an internship in pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Kouyoumdji takes a collaborative, compassionate approach to pediatrics, believing that a healthy and happy childhood is a team effort. By partnering with families and listening to their concerns, he customizes treatment plans to each patient's needs.
When he is not working, Dr. Kouyoumdji enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with his wife and daughter.
