Read MoreMullica Hill, NJ (April 11, 2024) – Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill and Inspira Health Center Woodbury, part of Inspira Health, have achieved Pathway to Excellence® re-designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The national designation recognizes hospitals who are committed to creating a healthy work environment where nurses feel empowered and valued.
“To provide the highest-quality patient care, nurses need to work in an environment that supports their own needs and promotes high standards,” said Tia Sheck, MSN, RN, CCRN, CNML, NPD-BC, Director of Nursing Excellence at Inspira Health. “Achieving Pathway re-designation highlights Inspira’s dedication to providing our nurses with the environment, resources and support to provide the best care possible for our patients, ultimately resulting in improved and sustained patient outcomes.”
To earn the distinction, organizations demonstrate a culture of sustained excellence by embodying the Pathway Standards each and every day, including: shared decision-making; leadership; safety; well-being; quality; and professional development. In addition, nurses are also a critical part of the designation process and must validate that an organization meets the Pathway Standards.
“We are beyond grateful for the high-quality, safe and compassionate care that our nurses bring to patients each and every day,” said Terri Veneziano, MSN, RN, CENP, Chief Nursing Officer, Inspira Health.
“The Pathway to Excellence re-designation is a testament to our nursing staff’s commitment to excellence, as well as their value to our organization’s mission along the patient journey,” said Terri Spoltore, DNP, MSN, RN, CCRN, Vice President of Patient Care Services, Inspira Mullica Hill and Woodbury.
Inspira’s nurses are an integral part of the health care team, with a voice in policy and practice. Pathway nurses are engaged, resulting in higher job satisfaction, reduced turnover, improved safety, and better patient outcomes. As a Pathway organization, Inspira Mullica Hill and Woodbury lead the effort to enhance quality of care, patient and nursing safety, and the future of health care delivery.
Inspira Mullica Hill and Woodbury received their first Pathway to Excellence designation in 2019. Only 3.5 percent of hospitals in the United States are currently Pathway designated.
