Inspira Elmer Wins National Patient Experience Award

Inspira Medical Center Elmer, long-known as a leader in patient satisfaction, has earned a 2019 Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award. The hospital was just one of two in New Jersey to win this national award. To qualify, Inspira Elmer had to score in the top 15 percent of more than 3,400 hospitals across the nation.

"The team at Inspira Medical Center Elmer works tirelessly to provide an outstanding experience for each patient and their family," said Elizabeth Sheridan, chief operating officer of Inspira Medical Centers Elmer and Vineland. "Along with clinical excellence and patient safety, creating an exceptional patient experience forms the foundation of the Inspira culture." 

Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance by applying a scoring methodology to nine patient experience measures, using data collected from a 32-question patient experience survey of the hospital’s own patients. The survey questions focus on patients’ perspectives of their care in the hospital, ranging from cleanliness and noise levels in patient rooms to factors such as provider communication. The measures also include whether a patient would recommend the hospital to friends or family.
