Read MoreOpioid and heroin addiction is a reality for far too many families across the country. Inspira Health is here to help you or your loved one overcome addiction and reclaim a healthy, fulfilling life.
Inspira Health offers support for those affected by substance use disorder—the harmful or hazardous use of psychoactive substances, including illicit drugs. Substance use disorder can lead to dependence syndrome, health problems and social consequences. Recognizing the signs and seeking early intervention is crucial for effective prevention and treatment.
We offer the Deterra Drug Deactivation System to community organizations throughout Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem Counties at no cost. Deterra is a deactivation product that neutralizes active chemicals in prescription drugs when water is added. Utilization of Deterra drug de-activation pouches promote safe, environmentally friendly disposal of unused medication, reducing the risk of misuse and substance abuse.
We also provide Narcan through New Jersey’s Naloxone365 program. When prescribed a controlled substance, patients will receive a prescription for Narcan that can be filled at no cost. Narcan can also be purchased over the counter without a prescription at our Mullica Hill and Vineland pharmacies. Narcan, also known as Naloxone, is a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses by blocking the effects of opioids on the brain. This initiative aims to make Narcan widely accessible, ensuring patients prescribed controlled substances have it on hand, empowering them to respond effectively to opioid emergencies and potentially save lives.
Inspira Health's approach to substance abuse prevention is rooted in comprehensive community outreach and proactive intervention. We prioritize education and awareness, empowering individuals, families and organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize the signs of substance use disorder early on.
By equipping the South Jersey community with Deterra and offering Narcan, we aim to reduce the amount of old or unused prescription drugs in homes and provide life-saving resources. Our programs exemplify our commitment to addressing substance use disorder at its roots and ensuring a safer, healthier community for all.
