The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Business Development is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, expanding the footprint of Inspira Health, and driving growth by conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and developing strategies to achieve business objectives. This position will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align progamming that addresses the objectives within the strategic plan. The AVP will serve as a key player in deal transactions across the life cycle. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Operations Strategy and Transformation.
- Must have 5+ years experience within an integrated healthcare delivery network
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or other similar focus area required
- Note: This is a full time position that requires regular travel within the region, which may include nights or weekends.
* Market research and analysis: Researches new markets, analyzes industry trends, and assesses competitor landscape to identify new business opportunities. Prepares proformas and other data analyses to demonstrate feasibility of opportunities.
* Program development: Develops strategies and business plans to enter new markets, launch new services, and expand patient base. Ensures alignment of activities with system strategic plan. Leads relevant teams to solidify programmatic and financial assumptions.
*Deal transactions: Evaluates partners, conducts due diligence, creates deal structures, and supports negotiation process to ultimately close transactions. This includes but is not limited to physician practice acquisitions, joint ventures, and joint operating agreements.
* Relationship management: Estabishes and maintains strong relationships with internal and extenal stakeholders. Serves as liaison with state agencies in partnership with Government and External Affairs.
* Physician development: Oversees programs that promote attractiveness to the Inspira service area, including the Practice Loan Forgiveness Program, Physician Loan Repayment Program, and Physician Charity Care Program.
* Licensing and regulatory: Remains current on licensing and regulatory standards, includingDepartment of Health, Department of Human Services, Department of Children and Families, and Department of Community Affairs. Oversees processing of all new and renewal licensing applications for the system. Prepares Certificate of Need applications or facilities consultant engagements to complete.
* Represents Inspira on committees and boards of community agencies.
* Oversees personnel and budget for Business Development function.
