MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Clinical Director of Education and Excellence leads structures and processes integral to the development and sustainment of standardization and a Pathway to Excellence Culture. This role involves evaluating and implementing best practice standards aimed at optimizing practice and processes that support successful onboarding, orientation, and continued clinical competency. The Director works collaboratively to promote excellence in clinical/nursing sensitive indicators/patient outcomes and guides the ambulatory team towards Magnet Pathway and other ambulatory accreditation achievements (AAAHC, Joint Commission). The Director is responsible for developing practices and processes to promote care delivery that fosters a top-of-license practice model for licensed clinicians throughout all ambulatory locations while creating a healthy and professional practice environment that drives safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree required, preferably in the field of Leadership and/or Nursing Education.
- Two (2) years of prior leadership (i.e., manager level or higher).
- Experience with Magnet and/or Pathway to Excellence designation process and application document writing preferred.
- Ten (10) years of practice experience in a large practice or group practice and/or integrated health system required.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a complex healthcare organization or business administration is preferred.
- Ambulatory experience preferred.
Certification/ Licensure:
- Registered Nurse required.
- National Certification in area of specialty and/or ANCC certification preferred.
