MAJOR FUNCTION:  

Responsible for coordinating, monitoring and maintaining the credentialing and reappointment process ensuring compliance with payor policy. Maintains an up-to-date database of physician information with ongoing tracking of expirations. Proactively completes requests for updated licenses, DEA’s, CDS’s and Medical Malpractices. Participates in departmental/committee meetings including attending and taking minutes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Three years’ experience in a Medical Office preferred.
  • Meeting management experience and minute taking.

Certification/Licensure:

  • NA.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of the credentialing and reprocesses.
  • Must possess excellent skills in word processing and database management, effective written and oral communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities to meet constant deadlines and work independently while displaying knowledge of commonly used credentialing concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Must be detail oriented, and highly self-motivated.
