MAJOR FUNCTION:
Manages the daily operations of the MRI department and other Medical Imaging areas if necessary. Supervises, instructs, evaluates, and coaches/counsels' employees. Maintains records and procedures for maintenance, in-service, education, radiation exposure reporting, timekeeping, employee evaluations, hiring, discipline and supplies for area. Participates in MRI safety for staff, patients and other Inspira employees as well as physicians.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Graduate from an approved, accredited School of Radiology.
- 5 years' experience as an MRI Technologist.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
- ARRT required, current licensure by the State of New Jersey.
- Advanced certification in MRI required.
- AHA CPR certified.
- IV certified or within 90 days.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Demonstrates knowledge of and follows hospital policies and procedures regarding abuse and neglect.
- Must have vast knowledge of all areas of MRI and have the ability to work independently.
