Under the supervision of the Director of Quality and Patient Safety, ensures the timeliness and overall quality and completeness of all medical record documentation in accordance with Inspira LIFE policies and procedures, all accrediting organizations and state as well as federal rules and regulations. Assist the Director of Quality and Patient Safety and/or designee with the collection and management of time sensitive data to be utilized and interpreted as quality measures. Assist with regulatory reporting to state and federal agencies in accordance with Inspira LIFE policies and procedures and state as well as federal regulatory agencies. Function as part of the Quality and Patient Safety team by providing support with quality initiatives and projects. Support compliance activities through collaboration with the Vice President of Corporate Compliance for Inspira Health Network. As a multisite provider of PACE community-based services for seniors in Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties, an Inspira LIFE employee may work at either or both the Vineland or Williamstown LIFE Program as census changes or operational needs occur to meet the needs of our participants.
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in a health care discipline required.
- 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly preferred.
- Two years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting required, preferably in medical records or quality assurance or compliance.
- Prior experience in a PACE Organization highly desirable.
- Two years of computer experience preferably working with electronic medical records.
Certification/Licensure:
- RHIT or RHIA highly desirable.
- CPHQ highly desirable.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology required, or health information experience preferred.
- Proficient use of office equipment such as copier, scanner, printer and fax.
