Resource Coach, LEAD and EMBHED - LEAD Grant - IMC

MAJOR FUNCTION:

The Resource Coach will work with individuals to support and strengthen their capacity to achieve and maintain their mental health and engage in healthy practices. Works in close collaboration with law enforcement, case managers, prosecutors, and neighborhood and community leaders. Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing consultation, evaluation, care management and aftercare planning as well as linking patients with appropriate treatment and resources. Educates clients, families and staff regarding mental health and substance use issues. Clearly documents consultations and interventions according to policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in health, psychology, counseling, social work, or other behavioral health profession required.
• Master’s degree in behavioral health field preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
• Five years’ experience working with behavioral health required.
• Experience working with legal and/or justice system preferred. Community based work preferred.
• Resident of Bridgeton or surrounding area preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

• LSW or LAC preferred. CADC or LCADC preferred.
• Valid NJ Driver’s license, proof of insurance and have a reliable means of transportation as described in Fleet Policy # A 291 required.
• Safe driving record required.
