The Director of Medical Imaging is responsible for leading, managing and developing imaging services across the Inspira acute care services network. This leader will engage key stakeholders to ensure the highest level of quality, patient experience, staff engagement and strategic initiatives to grow and support patient care.

  1. Five years of management experience in an acute care setting. Strong communication and analytical skills. Experience managing surveys and regulatory visits.
  2. Bachelor's degree in relevant clinical area. Master's degree in management preferred. License required; certification preferred.

System Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and leadership for the medical imaging departments across the system, aligning objectives with the organization's mission, vision, values, and goals. Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care, improve efficiency, and maximize performance.

Operational Management: Oversee operations, management team of imaging across the system, including staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality control, and patient safety protocols.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with system leaders to develop long-term strategic plans for the imaging departments. Identify growth opportunities, new service offerings, and innovative technologies to enhance patient care and improve operational efficiency.

Team Management: Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promote professional development, and address performance issues as required.

Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of services. Implement and maintain appropriate quality control measures, monitor equipment performance, and evaluate the accuracy and reliability of services provided.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with physicians, referring clinicians, and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of services across the system.

Technology and Innovation: Stay informed of advancements in radiology / radiation technology, informatics, and industry trends. Evaluate and implement new technologies, software systems, and imaging modalities to improve diagnostic accuracy, patient experience, and operational effectiveness.
