Nurse Practitioner Per Diem - Pre Admission Testing - Mullica Hill

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Directs the clinical delivery of medical care and is responsible for maintaining relationships and coordinating activities of physicians and mid-level providers, clinical staff, and operations. Oversees the development of clinical content in the company materials.

The advanced practice provider (Nurse Practitioner) within the Pre-Admission Testing department under the guidance of Anesthesia, is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team ensuring patients are optimized for surgery.

Roles Include:

• Completes physical assessments on pre-surgical patients
• Assesses for risks associated with the care of the acute and complex chronically ill patient including medication side effects, mobility, impaired nutrition, fluid and electrolyte imbalance, immunocompetence, and diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, including RNs, Anesthesia, Surgeons, office managers, surgical scheduling, and surgical services leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and completed masters or postgraduate certificate Nurse Practitioners’ program.
• High quality of nursing competence and advanced leadership skills.

Certification/Licensure:

• Current registration with NJ State Board of Nursing.
• Certified by nationally recognized nurse practitioner organization.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS preferred.
