Bariatric surgery is a safe and effective tool which can be used for lifelong management and treatment of obesity.  Here at Inspira, we want to ensure our patients are educated and informed to ensure success before and after surgery.

Bariatric Surgery Resources

Inspira’s multidisciplinary team is specially trained in bariatric surgery and are here to answer your questions and address your concerns to ensure you’re fully prepared for what lies ahead. This pre-op process involves a mix of educational activities including:

  • Virtual Information Sessions (English/Espanol): A general overview of bariatric procedures. It is required to complete at least one information session prior to qualifying for surgery.
  • Pre-Surgical Education Class: A virtual group session, led by your bariatric coordinator to review what you need to know about the procedure, diet, and hospital stay.
  • New Beginnings Support Group: A virtual group meeting with bariatric coordinators, health experts, and bariatric surgery patients who gather to discuss diet, exercise, emotional concerns, and more.

Why Choose Bariatric Surgery

Taking your first step toward bariatric surgery can feel scary, but it doesn’t have to be. Take it from our patients, many of whom have a renewed sense of purpose and motivation after getting weight loss surgery from one of our experienced providers.
