Focusing on Physician Well-being
Hello and welcome to the November edition of Provider Inspiration.
First, thank you to everyone who was involved in the launch of the new Vineland outpatient endoscopy center, which opened last month. This new facility allows our GI physicians and team to work in a state-of-the-art facility, with the ability to treat more patients and accommodate the growing demand for GI procedures in the South Jersey region.
I also want to extend kudos to Dr. Steven Linn for championing the introduction of Schwartz Rounds at Inspira. This forum allows the sharing of difficult situations to boost your resilience and keep you coming to work energized every day. I encourage all physicians to participate in these rounds for your own well-being as we continue our rollout throughout the system.
Speaking of well-being, please be sure to get your flu shot before the deadline on November 30.
As you’re aware, November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Our cancer specialists and care teams have made extraordinary efforts to support patients who may be at risk for lung cancer. In fact, we recently surpassed 100 navigational bronchoscopy procedures using the Monarch platform at Inspira Medical Center Vineland. Additionally, we recently added this technology at our Mullica Hill campus. I encourage you all to educate your patients and loved ones on the importance of lung cancer screenings.
This month, we’re hearing from Dr. Tony Reed, our chief quality and safety officer, on the strides we’ve made this year to advance quality care and patient safety in South Jersey. We just learned that all three Inspira Hospitals earned an “A” on the Fall Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. I am grateful for all you do to promote patient safety and clinical excellence.
We’re also celebrating the expansion of the LIFE program to all of Gloucester and Salem counties, as well as the addition of Dr. Donna Raziano, our new LIFE medical director, who joined the Inspira team last month.
As always, thank you for everything you do.
Be well and stay safe,
Amy Mansue
