Thankful for Inspira Health
Hello and welcome to the December edition of Provider Inspiration.
This holiday season, we have so much to be thankful for. I’m grateful for the entire Inspira team’s dedication to providing safe, quality care to our community members. We recently
honored our clinical units' ongoing commitment to preventing patient harm during International Infection Prevention and Health Care Quality Week. Twenty-three units across our network—more than half of all eligible—were recognized with a “ZERO HeRO” Award for outstanding achievement in preventing harm in one or more of six categories.
On the topic of patient safety, the Leapfrog Group recently released their Fall 2023 Hospital Safety Grades. I am proud to share that Inspira Medical Centers Elmer, Mullica Hill and Vineland all received “A” Hospital Safety Grades. And our Mullica Hill campus earned additional distinction as a Leapfrog Top Teaching Hospital. Only 75 teaching hospitals across the country earned Top Hospital honors.
I’m also thrilled to announce that Inspira Health was chosen as the New Jersey Department of Health 2023 Community Star. We received statewide praise for our efforts in Rural Health, led by our Cancer Grants team who allow us to offer free cancer screenings, smoking cessation and transportation for cancer-related medical services to uninsured and underinsured individuals.
In this edition of Provider Inspiration, we are sharing more information about our new Healing at Home program in partnership with SENA Health and offering helpful tips on how the patient portal can make a difference in your patient communications. You will also find heartwarming comments from a family whose loved one received exceptional home and hospice care from BAYADA at Inspira Health.
As we close out 2023, we are poised to do even greater work through collaboration, innovation and our ongoing commitment to excellence. Together with our partners, we will continue addressing the challenges facing South Jersey, while remaining focused on our mission to foster healthier and safer communities.
