Hello, and welcome to the August installment of Provider Inspiration.
As my time with Inspira Health begins drawing to a close, I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation for every member across the entire Inspira organization. Thank you for all your support through the years, for helping Inspira Health grow, for keeping our people healthy, and especially in these challenging times, for keeping our community safe. As most of you may know by now, Inspira has selected Amy Mansue as our new CEO. The Board and I are confident Amy is the right person to build on our momentum and we look forward to her joining the Inspira family. Amy’s first day as CEO will be August 31st, while my final day with the organization will be on September 4th.
Recently, New Jersey was recognized as the only state to see a decline in COVID-19 cases continuously for two weeks. While Inspira has seen a plateau in cases over this same period, I am confident that Inspira Health will continue to seamlessly, and successfully, navigate through the coronavirus pandemic.
As we continue to provide safe, high-quality care to every individual within the Inspira Health network, now is the time to reassure patients in our community that it is safe to meet with their health care providers. By implementing new safety measures, using our emergency facilities to contain the virus, and maintaining our high reliability organization (HRO) status, patients can feel comfortable going to their regularly scheduled appointments.
While our COVID-19 response has been at the forefront of our efforts these past several months, the Inspira team has been working diligently to reach new benchmarks for the network. I am pleased that this month’s issue of Provider Inspiration explores recent Inspira Health successes, specifically the launch of the Inspira Health Vascular Institute, addition of our newest thoracic surgeon, highlights about our virtual services, and details surrounding our neurosurgery program.
