Celebrating the Inspira Team
Hello and welcome to the July edition of Provider Inspiration.
First, I would like to congratulate the 73 residents who graduated from Inspira’s Graduate Medical Education program in June. I’m also happy to welcome 100 new residents and fellows to Inspira this month.
“We are also preparing to welcome Tony Reed, M.D., our new Senior Vice President and Chief Quality and Safety Officer, on August 1. Tony will guide our efforts to achieve the highest quality outcomes and advance us on our journey to zero harm. Tony comes to us from Temple University Health System, where he served as the chief medical officer. Please welcome Tony to Inspira when he arrives in August.
As we enjoy the summer months, it’s important to remember that COVID is still affecting our community. If you have eligible patients who have not yet gotten a booster shot, continue encouraging them to do so.
I also have an update on the Salem Medical Center acquisition. The NJ Attorney General’s Office has deemed the application complete for Inspira to acquire Salem Medical Center. Next steps include a public hearing to gather input from stakeholders and community members to be held at Salem Community College in August. This is a critical next step in the process of acquiring Salem Medical Center. We will continue to meet regularly with representatives from Salem Medical Center and CHA (their parent company) to achieve our common goals of greater access to patient care and a smooth transition to Inspira Health.
This month, we celebrate the addition of elective PCI procedures at Vineland. We also continue to work toward a better EMR experience with Cerner.
As always, thank you for everything you do.
Be well and stay safe,
Amy Mansue
President and CEO
