Hello and welcome to the April edition of Provider Inspiration.
I’m happy to announce that, as of April 1, Inspira is administering second boosters of the COVID vaccine to adults ages 50 and older. Appointments and walk-ins are available at our Vineland and Mullica Hill vaccination clinics for those who are eligible. I appreciate all of the guidance you have provided and will continue to provide your patients regarding vaccination.
Recently, the Deborah F. Sager Memorial Fund (DFSMF) celebrated a decade of support from Century Savings Bank. Since 2011, Century Savings Bank has donated nearly $35,000 to the DFSMF. We are beyond grateful for their contributions, which help make miracles happen for countless babies in the Deborah F. Sager Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Inspira Medical Center Vineland. And thanks to the dedication and effort of our NICU team and generous donors, we are now able to care for preemies of any gestational age.
Our new strategic plan’s emphasis on reducing health disparities resonates especially loud in April—Minority Health Awareness Month. By working together with you and other community partners, we are addressing the social determinants of health that plague our communities. Please reach out if you have ideas or suggestions to share about how we can eliminate disparities and build healthier communities.
As we continue to support the changing needs of our community, I’d like you to be aware of changes to our urgent care facilities. The Haddon, Somerdale and Williamstown Urgent Care locations are permanently closed to patients. In addition, the Glassboro and Mantua Urgent Care locations have reopened after a temporary closure. This month, we’re learning more about how radioembolization can be used to treat liver cancer and how our COVID-19 Recovery Program can help long haulers get back on their feet.
