Twenty-five scholarships, of $2,000 each, will be awarded to students enrolled in nursing and health professions degree programs, as well as health-care-related career certificate programs at RCSJ.
Residents of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties are eligible to apply for the scholarship. There are five scholarships designated for Inspira Health employees and their dependents, while 10 scholarships are available to current and new students who received their high school diploma or equivalent before 2023. The remaining 10 are for incoming freshmen who received their high school diploma or equivalent in 2023.
“We believe that everyone who is passionate about a career in health care deserves the chance to pursue it, regardless of their financial means,” said Anneliese McMenamin, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Inspira. “The Inspira Creates Pathways Scholarship is our way of empowering more aspiring health care professionals to realize their dreams and enter the workforce, thus strengthening our community's overall health and well-being. We are honored to work with RCSJ to make this vision a reality.”
There are more than 30 health care programs available to RCSJ students. These include nursing, nutrition, physical therapy, radiography, sonography and peer recovery. A new respiratory therapy program, offered in collaboration with Rowan University, launches this fall.
The deadline to apply for a scholarship is June 3; applications must be completed when enrolling for classes. To learn more about the Inspira Creates Pathways Scholarship program, or to learn more about Inspira’s premier partnership with RCSJ, visit RCSJ.edu/Inspira.
