A Very COVID Christmas: How to Celebrate Safely
Read MoreWith lights flashing, nearly three dozen police and sheriff’s vehicles paraded by Inspira’s Vineland and Bridgeton campuses as a show of support and admiration for Cumberland County’s health care heroes. The officers were greeted with waves and cheers by Inspira employees and physicians who lined the sidewalks. The smiles on their faces could be seen through the masks they all wore. The blue skies and mild temperature provided a brief respite from the extraordinary challenges of being a health care worker during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We wanted to show the hospital staff our support and admiration,” said Bridgeton Police Chief Michael Gaimari, Sr. “The idea to recognize our local health care professionals was supported by all of the law enforcement agencies who serve our county. It came together quickly because everyone jumped on board. I’m thrilled so many officers participated.”
The parade included vehicles and personnel from the Bridgeton, Millville and Vineland Police Departments, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, and the New Jersey State Police. Leading the parade were two officers from the Vineland Police Department’s Motorcycle Unit.
“For our staff and physicians to be recognized by members of our local, county and state law enforcement agencies is an honor, said John DiAngelo, president and CEO, Inspira Health. “During these unprecedented times, we all need the support of others. On behalf of the entire Inspira team, thank you for thinking of us and lifting our spirits.”
