Read MoreAt the June 8 meeting of the Inspira Health Network Board of Trustees, held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, new officers were approved to lead the Inspira Hospital Board of Trustees for the 2020 term. As the governing body of the hospitals, this board provides governance oversight and guidance of the hospitals’ activities.
Mantua resident James E. Bonner, D.O., FACOEP, FACEP, is the new chair of the hospital board. From 2015-2019, Bonner served as a member of the Inspira Hospital board through his position as president of the medical staff at Inspira Medical Center Woodbury. In 2019, he joined the Inspira Network board.
“I’m a lifelong resident of Gloucester County and I have spent every day of my medical career taking care of patients who depend on Inspira for their care,” notes Bonner. “I am honored to represent my community in this board leadership role.”
Bonner marks his thirty-third year of providing emergency care, arriving at the Woodbury hospital after completing his residency training at the Osteopathic Medical Center, Philadelphia. He serves as chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine for Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill and the Woodbury Satellite Emergency Department.
Serving as vice chair is Shelly O. Schneider, Ed.D., of Vineland. Retired superintendent of the Millville Public Schools, she most recently served as interim president for Cumberland County College. In 2015, Schneider was inducted into the Cumberland County Women’s Hall of Fame.
Herbert J. Konrad serves as the board’s secretary/treasurer. A resident of Cherry Hill, he is president of Konrad Beverage Company in Deptford. A member of the Underwood-Memorial governing board since 1991, he was elected its chair in 2004.
“The strong commitment of these board members exemplifies the unwavering support that Inspira receives from our community,” adds John DiAngelo, president and CEO, Inspira Health. “Through their hard work and direction, Inspira has been successful in consistently expanding our services. Our board members endorse our goal to take care of our community, in our community.”
