Inspira Medical Center Vineland will offer two courses to teach life and safety skills to young teens, ages 11 through 15.
On Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Module I Safety Sitter® course covers safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, appropriate responses to medical emergencies and personal safety. This course can be applied to National Honor Society requirements.
On Saturday, June 22, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Module II Safe Sitter® course covers the basics of first aid, common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, and how to help. This includes chest compressions, assisted breathing and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
The cost for each class is $75 which covers materials. Lunch is not included. To register, please call 856-641-7535
