South Jersey health care network reinforces commitment to taking care of the local community
MULLICA HILL, NJ (January 24, 2019) – Inspira Health today announced that the health system will waive out-of-pockets costs for furloughed federal employees and their dependents during the government shutdown at emergency rooms and urgent care centers across Inspira’s network.
This waiver is effective Thursday January 24 and applies to Inspira’s emergency departments in Bridgeton, Elmer, Vineland and Woodbury, as well as its 11 urgent care centers throughout South Jersey. Additionally, hospital-based physicians providing emergency, radiology, pathology and anesthesia services are also waiving out-of-pocket costs for these visits, further reducing medical costs for furloughed federal employees. Patients will be asked to show their government ID upon arrival.
Beyond this support, Inspira Health is also waiving monthly membership Fitness Connection fees for these employees during the shutdown.
“We strive every day to take care of our community, in our community – and we hope that this waiver can help alleviate some financial burdens for furloughed employees in our shared home in South Jersey,” said John DiAngelo, president and CEO of Inspira Health. “Access to care is a pillar of Inspira’s mission, and we are committed to providing relief during this time so those affected can seek the critical medical care they need.”
