About Magnet®
The Magnet Recognition Program aims to elevate patient care in an environment where nurses set a standard for excellence through leadership, scientific discovery and implementation of new knowledge. Receiving Magnet recognition is a great achievement. Fewer than 500 organizations out of more than 6,300 hospitals in the United States have achieved this recognition.
Inspira has also earned special recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), including two formal exemplars. The Executive Committee of the Commission on Magnet recognized Inspira’s senior nursing leaders for being highly visible and inspiring a clear mission and vision for the organization, and for the excellent teamwork among members of the care team.

Inspira nurses are empowered to take an active role in improving practice. Our nurses participate in Shared Governance councils, pursue advanced academic degrees and are nationally certified in their specialty areas.

New Knowledge, Innovation and Improvement
Inspira nurses are supported in their efforts to continually identify and implement emerging best practices. When answers to clinical questions cannot be found in the existing literature, Inspira offers nurses the support and mentorship to design and complete nursing research studies that contribute to developing an evidence base for novel practice improvements.

Care Delivery Model
Care delivery at Inspira Health Center Bridgeton and Inspira Medical Centers Elmer and Vineland is based on the Neuman Systems Model. This model promotes a holistic patient care delivery approach that strengthens the patient’s reaction to environmental stressors by addressing their physiological, psychological, spiritual and social needs.
With a focus on holistic patient care, the Neuman Systems Model provides nurses with a tangible foundation to build their practice and promote healing across the continuum of care through interprofessional collaboration. This collaborative philosophy and approach to patient care further support the mission, vision and values of Inspira as an organization.
Shared Governance
Inspira’s Shared Governance councils provide our nurses the opportunity to directly impact patient care practices. The Shared Governance council structure acknowledges the autonomy, professionalism, leadership responsibility and clinical knowledge of direct care nurses and creates an environment of shared decision-making. Each council, with the exception of the Nursing Research council, is led by a direct care nurse. An administrative liaison is assigned to each council to provide leadership support for resources and to assist in advocating for resources when necessary.
